Dr. Chavonne Bertamini

Owner/Veterinarian

Hi, I’m Dr. Chavonne Bertamini, and I’m so glad you’re here! I’ve wanted to be a vet since I was a kid, and that passion has shaped every step of my journey.

When it comes to my training, I’ve been all over — I earned my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2018 from Ross University in St. Kitts, where I traded snowy winters for sandy beaches. My clinical year took me to Purdue University in Indiana, followed by a rotating internship in Saskatoon. From there, I jumped into the fast-paced world of emergency and urgent care before finding my true calling in general practice.

Before opening Pawmer Vet Clinic, I worked as the Medical Director at Westmount Animal Clinic in Kensington, Calgary. That experience not only deepened my love for general practice but also strengthened my commitment to building meaningful relationships with pets and their people.

I grew up in Calgary, so opening Pawmer Vet Clinic feels like coming full circle. And although my studies led me to tropical shores, my heart has always been here. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming space where pets get the best care and you feel supported every step of the way.

Outside the clinic, you’ll find me exploring the mountains, staying active, or spending time with my golden retriever, Cali, and my partner, Tyler. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family members!
